Full Day Tour: HoChiMinh Complex-Temple Of Literature-Ethnology Museum-Ngoc Son Temple

Our tour will start by visiting Ho Chi Minh Complex: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his Stilt House, Presidential Palace and the One Pillar Pagoda nearby.

About HoChiMinh Complex:
1. Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum.

The Mausoleum, which was made of marble and granite, features a three-stored structure. In the second store places the famous President’s body, lying as if he were sleeping in the simple clothes worn when he was alive.
Notes:
Opening time: 5 days per week only in the morning, except Monday and Friday morning.
Winter seasons (from November to March)  8:00 a.m – 11:00 a.m
Summer seasons (from April to October): 7:30 a.m – 10:30 a.m
Closed in October/ November/ or December every year for the body maintenance
No camera, cell phone, bare-shoulder T-shirts, knife , or mini skirts are allowed inside
2.Ba Dinh square
This is where Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum lies, is a historical site where President Ho Chi Minh read the Independence Declaration of Vietnam on September 2nd, 1945.
3. Ho Chi Minh’s Residence
Refusing to live in the Presidential palace, President Ho Chi Minh lived in a normal electrician’s house nearby. The house has two floors and the beloved President lived here from 1958 until he passed away.
4. One Pillar Pagoda
An ancient pagoda built in 1049 under the Ly Dynasty. There’s an interesting legend referring the construction of the pagoda, telling that  King Ly Thanh Tong had this pagoda constructed in the shape of a lotus, based upon his fairy dream, thanks to which he was given a baby boy.
Remember to wear full-length clothes when you visit any pagoda 


After that, we will continue to visit the Literature Temple and Quoc Tu Giam – Vietnam’s first University, constructed in 1070. Its gardens and well-preserved architecture offer a relaxing glimpse into Vietnam’s past.
About Temple of Literature
Văn Miếu or Temple of Literature was founded as a Confucian temple in 1070.
Only parts of the Văn Miếu complex date back to the earliest period, although much of the architecture dates to the Ly (1010 – 1225) and Tran (1225 – 1400) Dynasties. In 1076, Vietnam’s first university, the Quốc Tử Giám (or National University), was established within this temple to educate Vietnam’s mandarin class. The university functioned for more than 700 years, from 1076 to 1779, during which had  2.313 doctors graduated. Hence, the complex has been attached to the name of Van Mieu-Quoc Tu Giam up to now.

After lunch, we will take a local Taxi  to Vietnam Museum of Ethnology.
About VietNam Musium of Ethnology
This  musium offers you an insight into the 54 different ethnic groups of VietNam in an effort to preserve culture heritage and promote socio cultureal diversity

We will stop at Sword Lake to visit Ngoc Son Temple and learn more about the lake’s legend.
About NgocSon Temple:
Meaning 'Temple of the Jade Mountain',  its famous  temple sits on a small island in the northern part of Hoan Kiem Lake, connected to the lakeshore by an elegant scarlet bridge, constructed in classical Vietnamese style
Then we take a walk to hotel. Our trip will end around 05.00PM
